1.  The Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre receives a total of approx Rs 3.0 Million as grant for looking after 75 inmates. It includes approx Rs 1.9 million from the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) and approx 0.9 million for Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. PRC spends approx Rs 8.25 million every year to look after its 75 inmates who are present. This comes to approx  Rs 1,10,000.00 to look after an inmate i.e to feed him, to attend him and  for his medical requirements (which is increasing every year) and is needed annually. The balance of Rs 5.25 million is raised from adhoc grants and contributions from philanthropic public and institutions.

2.   Currently, there are 109 beds in the Centre. If it is to be utilised fully, then the Centre would need an annual income of approx Rs 11.99 million. PRC is paying its main staff i.e Ward Attendants and Cleaning Staff a meager starting salary of Rs 5000.00 per month. It is finding very difficult to retain and find staff to look after its disabled inmates due to increased job avenues and pay rise because of Globalization. Presently Centre is spending Rs 5.4 million on its staff. In order to give them minimum pay scale as given by Govt of India to its Class IV Employees  and to hire more staff to look after 109 inmates Centre needs addition Rs 8.99 Million every year.

3.   With present interest rates Centre needs to have a Corpus of Approx Rs 150.0 million in bank as Corpus to get a regular interest of approx Rs 11.2 million to meet the annual expenditure. At present Centre has approx Corpus of Rs 40.0 million which is far less then the required corpus of Rs 115.0 million to maintain it.
